The Ouzoud waterfalls are around 150 km away, which is a 2 ½-hour drive from Marrakech. These majestic waterfalls, over 120 meters high, are located in a picturesque valley in the Atlas Mountains and are one of Morocco’s most impressive treasures. There is usually a chance to take beautiful pictures of the rainbows that appear at the foot of the cascades.

The drive out of the city takes you through green olive groves, orange plantations and orchards, flanked by picturesque adobe villages. After arriving at the waterfalls, a walk through olive groves to the foot of the floods awaits you. A refreshing swim in the clear water and possibly the sighting of Barbary macaques enjoying the feeding of sweet bananas and peanuts will enrich your experience.

Enjoy lunch in one of the small restaurants overlooking the waterfalls before bidding farewell to this enchanting place and the Barbary macaques with a “beslama” (goodbye) and setting off on the return journey to Marrakech.
